Jacob Click, PE LEED AP

President

Jacob is the acting President of Click Engineering. He began his career in Oklahoma City in 1997 with Sturm Engineering while simultaneously obtaining a masters in structural engineering from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. In 2001 he joined Derr Steel Erection as a Project Manager in Texas and was exposed to some of the largest projects in the country at the time, NRG Stadium (Reliant Stadium) and George R. Brown Convention Center Expansion in Houston. In 2003, Jacob joined one of the larger structural engineering firms in the country, Haynes Whaley Associates in Houston, and gained a great deal of experience over 4 years on the wide variety of projects HWA is known for. In 2007, Mr. Click began his own firm Click Structures and relocated to Dallas to merge with TMBP,  now Click Engineering. Projects for which he has been engineer of record for include the $350 million expansion to River Spirit Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the $250 million Irving Entertainment Center in Las Colinas, Texas. As President, Mr. Click brings 20 years of industry knowledge and is involved with all aspects of the consulting process as a project manager, a structural engineer, and business relationship cultivator. Jacob is also an active member of the Muscogee(Creek) Nation in Oklahoma.

Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President of Click Engineering, Doug oversees production and coordination of all Click projects. His responsibilities include project management, quality control, and computer generation of contract documents. Doug began his career with Warren Holmes-Kenneth Black Architects in Lansing, Michigan, a large full-service architectural firm. During his seven years at Holmes & Black, he worked in the structural, architectural, HVAC, construction administration and specifications departments to gain a vast knowlege of all disciplines.  In 1980, Doug moved to Texas to work for Nagler Engineers (TMBP|Click, now Click Engineering).  He has over 45 years of experience ranging from light framing retail centers to high-rise commercial buildings. Doug is also involved with advancements in coordination technology including BIM.

Executive Vice President

Matthew is a multi-disciplinary professional engineer with a broad range of experience in both the private and public sector civil engineering fields. His background has provided him with the technical proficiency, management, and communication skills needed in today’s evolving and highly competitive market. He believes that successful projects and relationships stem from proper planning and communication with his clients and he exemplifies these characteristics. His experience ranges from private land development, rail transit, municipal water, wastewater, roadway, and environmental. Matthew previously worked with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., and has run his own successful firm, Cain CES, Inc., for the past 9 years.  He brings 16 years of experience to the Click Engineering team.

Chris Tansil, PE, SE

Vice President

Chris brings more than 20 years of structural engineering experience, with a particular emphasis in higher education, healthcare, governmental and other institutional type projects. He prides himself on his ability to coordinate with a variety of architects, other consultants, and contractors to facilitate smooth project completion. He believes in being a team player and always having a spirit of flexibility to create maximum value for all projects. His professional distinction centers on a solid background in the design of steel, concrete, and masonry structures for gravity, wind and seismic forces as well as high-performance requirements such as low vibration. Some projects for which he was an engineer of record include the New Parkland Hospital in Dallas, the Engineering Education & Research Center on the University of Texas-Austin campus, and the Engineering Research Building on the University of Texas-Arlington campus. He has also served as adjunct instructor at the University of Texas in Arlington, teaching graduate level structural steel design courses. Chris is registered as a Professional Engineer in the states of Texas and Washington, and as a Structural Engineer (SE) in Washington. He received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Texas in Austin, and is also registered as an NCEES Designated Model Law Structural Engineer.

Vice President

Joe is Vice President of Click Engineering. With over 40 years of experience, his background ranges from the practice of civil and structural engineering to his early years in construction and surveying. His recent projects include education, religious, and public facilities. Joe is a licensed Professional Engineer and registered Land Surveyor.
